Over the five weeks of the challenge, from April 26th to May 31st, the results were really staggering - just shy of 8,500 checklists submitted by participants representing 45 out of 50 of Ontario's designated birding regions, and a whopping 226 (!!!) species were reported.

And the list of unusual species was equally impressive: Greater White-fronted Goose, Brant, Cackling Goose, Whimbrel, Red Knot, Willet, American White Pelican, Black Vulture, Acadian Flycatcher, Louisiana Waterthrush, Golden-winged Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, and Summer Tanager.
